Grant’s trying out the ‘Monastery of the Distressed’ segment from the latest D&D adventure ‘Lost Laboratory of Kwalish‘ with one of our West Marches groups at work. This adventure has so many striking visuals that it was hard to choose an image to draw, and I ended up going with the most amusing option. (The other striking visuals were much more… icky.)
The adventure has several companions that you can take with you, and the companion that Grant gave us was a modron that we dubbed “Mike Wazowski” but whose name it turned out – equally delightfully – to be “Doohickey.”
So I drew Doohickey doing his thing. Rather than putting the li’l guy in a scene with the adventuring party, though, I decided to put him with other modron-like pop culture robot companions. And, in honor of Doohickey’s original nickname, I used Mike W as his base.
Have to flex that nerd cred. Ya know… just in case drawing something from a D&D session wasn’t evidence enough.
