Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow by Yuval Noah Harari
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This was an unpleasant, thought-provoking book. I feel like Harari consistently mischaracterizes the perspectives of certain outlooks in order to better serve his greater narrative. That being said, the book is an important check to rampant technologism (to which, I’ll readily admit, I frequently succumb). If Kurzweil is invested, Harari is shorting the position.
