Art of the Start: The Time-Tested, Battle-Hardened Guide for Anyone Starting Anything: The Time-Tested, Battle-Hardened Guide for Anyone Starting Anything by Guy Kawasaki
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
tl;dr
Not terrible, but not life-changing either. Probably not worth the read unless you’re within a couple years (give or take) from taking the plunge.
The context and content is a bit dated, and the author can be (more than a little) benevolently sexist at times. But the writing style is direct, and there is plenty of actionable advice in there. Much of the book’s benefit can be taken less from concrete tactics (as no doubt those have already changed in the past decade and a half) than from the underlying philosophical themes tying them together.
