I have to start this one out with a little interchange between Kelly and Elisabeth that I overheard this morning while we were all getting ready for church:
[Kelly is trying to teach Elisabeth about sharing]Kelly “That’s not only yours, Elisabeth; it belongs to everyone.”Liz “No, it’s mine.”
Kelly “It’s not yours. Do you want to know why?”
Liz “It is mine. Why?”
Kelly “Because everything that we have is a gift. And who has given us everything we have?”
Liz “…Grandma?…”[This is where I snorted]Liz “…Gigi?…”[Kelly’s having trouble holding it in]Liz “…Mia?…”[Aaaaand we all lose it]
Anyway, here’s the Weekly Update:
– Sun– Eli’s blessing; teach King Benjamin to middle-schoolers; Guitar Hero III; reformat computers; introduce Mom and Pop to ‘the Office‘ and ‘Transformers.’
– Mon– begin the Great Excavation; cut my leg; gold song every song on Easy; find out I’ll be leaving for the week; laundry; begin fixing iTunes playlists; ‘Accepted‘; pack
– Tue– finish Great Excavation; wash car with Pop; get to level 13 on Tetris; flight to Denver; listen to 5 Lewis Black albums; christen Kelly’s house with an Anderson presence; late-night pizza; start blag
– Wed– trolley ride; mini-golf and arcade with Matthew; 236 tickets (Matthew is very proud of this); first Wii experience; bike ride around the neighborhood; Barnes & Noble; rocking out to High School Musical and Hairspray; Jacob turns the car into modern art with only Jamba juice and a straw; Mexican food in the park; reading [lessons]; Pop rocks the GRE
– Thu– read; biking; bowling (147, if you must know); Kelly gets 3 strikes for Chris; teach cub scouts at a driving range; insane amounts of wind; look at Kelly’s photo albums; Rocky smells; ‘Vantage Point‘ with Kelly; Italian restaurant; long heart-to-heart
– Fri– sleep way late; pick up Katherine and Matthew from school; climb a tree with Elisabeth; take kids home; car ride with Matthew; picnic on the beach; the blanket almost gets blown away… with the picnic basket and Elisabeth on top of it; watch 1/2 of ‘Atlantis‘; watch 1/2 of ‘Ella Enchanted;’ read; YouTube with Katherine and Matthew; ‘Forbidden Kingdom‘ with Chris
– Sat– scavenger hunt that Katherine made with Elisabeth; Veggie Tales; biking; YouTube with Katherine; Fort Fun (go karts, video games, mini-golf, bumper cars, junk food, mini-bowling, video games); 444 tickets = a really big bag of Tootsie Rolls; lettuce wraps; YouTube with Kelly and Chris (favorite of the night: Business Time… of course); steal pictures from Kelly; Facebook stolen pictures
